What do people usually feel in a Spinal Energetics session?
Sensations in the body: It is quite common for first-timers to notice a variety of sensations, such as gentle twitching, subtle warmth, or tingling sensations. These are signs that your body is responding positively to the energy flow.
Spontaneous body adjustments and movements: As your nervous system begins to unwind, you might find yourself naturally stretching or readjusting, which is your body's way of releasing tension and finding balance. Some may experience more pronounced movements, especially those deeply connected to their body and mind.
Change in breathing pattern: Many individuals experience a beautiful shift in their breathing pattern during sessions, often feeling a profound sense of relaxation as their breath deepens and expands throughout their body.
Emotional release:. Emotional release is a natural part of the process, and many find solace in allowing themselves to express and release their feelings, often feeling lighter and more at peace afterwards. Individuals overwhelmed by intense emotions may find relief through actions such as crying.
Meditative or trance-like state: It's not uncommon for newcomers to energy work to enter a deeply meditative or trance-like state during sessions. This state of profound relaxation is exactly what your nervous system craves, allowing for deep healing and restoration.

What do people usually feel after a spinal energetics session?
While each session is unique, and experiences vary, Spinal energetics offers a space for deep healing and growth. Following a session, you may respond in various ways, ranging from pure relaxation, to considerable fatigue. You may feel energised, or drained and in need of rest. Emotional releases, such as crying, laughing or frustration may also arise. The body can continue to release up to 12-72 hours, or even longer, as healing is an ongoing process beyond the session. This entirely depends on your body's ability to process whatever came up during and after the session. Because of this, is it essential to carve out time to rest and reflect on your session.
03
Why do some people 'move' during a spinal energetics session?
In a session, you may feel the need to move. This is very varied and depends person to person. Some people move a little, others move a lot, whereas others never move at all, especially to begin with. The natural movements and sounds you may experience during this process are your body's way of finding release. Embrace them as signs of your body unwinding, letting go of tension, trauma, and trapped energy. The amount of movement does not directly correlate to the amount of depth or benefits you may receive during and after a session. The extent of movement during and after the session doesn't determine the impact of healing on your body.
04
How many sessions do I need?
There is no set amount of sessions, again this varies from person to person, and depends on their current circumstances and past experiences, as well as individual goals and needs. Typically, it takes three sessions for the mind and body to start to work together, and feel confident in doing so. However, an initial recommendation is six sessions. These sessions should be scheduled close together, either weekly or fortnightly. This helps to establish the communication between the Spinal Energetics process and your body, finding more depth with each session. This approach supports your nervous system and therefore is beneficial to use it as ongoing maintenance of your overall health.
